One nice modern house

It's a common thing that you are more valued at you own neighborhood after you get credits from abroad. Don't know why is that, but I have one beautiful example of it. A house in town called Osijek (Croatia), a modern architecture that manage to stay warm, friendly, and have that domestic touch in the same time (which a lots of modern buildings don't have - just my opinion). I like it very much.

Pink (for Jasminka)

This one is for my girl Jasminka, but also for all the pink fans. I never were into pink color, but it works great with ivory, nude tones and grays so I must admit that lately I do get caught looking at fabrics and china in pink tones. And that's not all - I do like that woolly, soft, gentle, big volume pink things.  Just please, don't tell anybody ;)

Hocus pokus

My last year's Halloween went bad (you have a blog post about it here "Hello Halloween"). And having 21 month old boy made me more playful so I want to make something cool for this year's H. And I found one very cool inspiration.

This is not a Tim Burton's movie; those are decorations made by Zdenko Bašić, an incredible author and illustrator whose work you can find here (or search for books Mjesečeve sjene, Sjeverozapadni vjetar - Tales of the wind). So every time I were passing by this little, lovely bookstore I stopped and watch the window for a few minutes.

So I think this is a good idea you can use to make your interpretation of Halloween decoration (if you're into that).

Afternoon napping time

Last days of summer, 2013.

Today is raining. Yesterday morning I went to a marketplace and I freeze; didn't expect it would be so cold. So when I look at this photos, almost can't believe they were taken last week (OK, I went to visit our coast but that's just few hours driving from Zagreb). Either way, conclusion is simple - that were my last days of summer. 

So I used this week to make a wardrobe exchange; put away my summer dresses and bring in my vests. I made some decor exchanges - more in autumn mood, and I use this to collect some more unused things for the one who need it more than we do. So that's the best way to finish summer.

 And now I'm looking forward to all those sunny autumn days.

Apartment therapy for "heavy" looking rooms

What a before/after makeover!!!
This is a good example how to change dull, old rooms, that sometimes look very heavy cause they are usually cluttered with dark wood furniture. I must admit I do appreciate good old full wood furniture and I think it's better to refresh them (read: repaint) that toss it. But you can see here how white color, with few details of metallic and glass can give you sparkle and light you want, as well as how can a little bit of color make room "happier".

When I saw her work over the FB, I was thrilled. So I contacted her and got this nice pictures to show you her work. She's mother, employed but still finds time to do this nice things for her loved ones. Who would like to be in the company of this creative woman.
