I was so glad when my mother called me and said inspired by my blog, she'll do something in her kitchen. :) So few months later, I must share this with you. She not only repaint all cabinets but also did all reassembling, dry sanding etc. Here's the result plus this was a good subject to show you other versions of county kitchens. I picked more modern county kitchen versions, cleaner and "lighter". But in all those picks, mother's cooking fits perfectly. ;)
For some of us, end of December is the time of year when we
recollect our work, things we did or didn't do. For me this time of year is
summer. Holidays often make my rethink myself, because I get caught in that
simplicity of living and just being.
And extra motivation is if you can do all this in some nice place
that gets you move. For me, epithets for that kind of interiors are: natural,
rustic, ethical, calm, creative, colorful, cozy, simple, warm, unfinished, improvising...

I started preparing text about summer locations, to give
you some summer mood but instead I keep on listening to a Nick Cave's latest
album and just can't catch this light summer touch that I usually have in this
time of year. It's so close, a few millimeters from me but the cold touch of air
conditioner just don't let me have this feeling. Funny, can't live without it
(or can we, we did once before!?) but at the other hand, it keeps you away from
having that down on the beach siesta
feeling.
But this is a good day to share with you a nice photo of a
room that could be a room of someone who also listen to Cave.
And for me, I'll keep pushing the sky away, and try to stay
in connection with the season of the year, despite the air conditioners, so I could bring us that summer feeling. ;)
