Last days of summer, 2013.

Today is raining. Yesterday morning I went to a marketplace and I freeze; didn't expect it would be so cold. So when I look at this photos, almost can't believe they were taken last week (OK, I went to visit our coast but that's just few hours driving from Zagreb). Either way, conclusion is simple - that were my last days of summer. 

So I used this week to make a wardrobe exchange; put away my summer dresses and bring in my vests. I made some decor exchanges - more in autumn mood, and I use this to collect some more unused things for the one who need it more than we do. So that's the best way to finish summer.

 And now I'm looking forward to all those sunny autumn days.

Apartment therapy for "heavy" looking rooms

What a before/after makeover!!!
This is a good example how to change dull, old rooms, that sometimes look very heavy cause they are usually cluttered with dark wood furniture. I must admit I do appreciate good old full wood furniture and I think it's better to refresh them (read: repaint) that toss it. But you can see here how white color, with few details of metallic and glass can give you sparkle and light you want, as well as how can a little bit of color make room "happier".

Little apartment on island Rab

This is a nice seaside apartment that combines antiques with a clean Scandinavian style. It suitable for everyday living, but owner use it only for summer vacations. It's charming with antique details but clean enough to not to bother you with unnecessary furniture.

Lady like

One very elegant and pleasant lady share this apartment with her loved one. It's hard to find good old-school class, ability to make a simple thing so beautiful and in the same time track new trends and incorporate them in everyday life. And this amazing woman, Jasminka, has the ability to do it. Calm, gentle, elegant, full of empathy, but stylish she does so much things so cool and smooth. I really enjoy looking over photos she gave me this morning. And here are some of them from her home in Zagreb. Keep up with my blog because I'm preparing you a photo story from her seaside apartment as well as story about Christmas decorations that she does beautifully!

Happy rooftop - a great garden place

 If you're lack of  place for gardening and you have flat rooftop, try use it as a green area. You're not sure how would it works? You can start with plants in pots or try to plant your vegetables in boxes. For covering  a whole rooftop with grass you should check your isolation and conciser advising with an architect and  landscape engineer.
